Property management – leases, licences and rent reviews

Although we have a long background in land agency and estate management, we have a fundamentally different attitude to property management than most of our competitors.

We are happy to take on smaller management jobs that the client would not normally consider to be estate management such as the preparation of annual grazing licences, cottage lettings and rent reviews.

We have a good working knowledge of all the usual forms of tenancy and licence agreements as well as share farming and contract farming arrangements. Mark Sanders chairs the RICS working group that provides the industry standard suite of tenancy and licence agreements to RICS members.

Mark is also the RICS representative on the tenancy reform industry group (TRIG) which advises Defra on the agricultural tenanted sector and makes recommendations for changes to agricultural tenancy legislation. Some of the TRIG recommendations were included in the Agriculture Act 2021 and some are currently being taken forward by Defra.
