Landscape and Ecological Management Plans (LEMPs) REALISTIC, IN-DEPTH PLANS TO MANAGE HABITATS AND THEIR ASSOCIATED VEGETATION STRUCTURES

LEMPs can be required to demonstrate that a proposal will not adversely affect existing habitats and ensure proposed habitats will become properly established. LEMPs include details of immediate and long-term obligations for the management, protection and enhancement of mature habitats and the creation of new habitats in and around a new development site. A LEMP can be a requirement of a planning condition or a Section 106 agreement.

The documents will usually include a design plan, existing habitat management programs, planting specifications, monitoring requirements, responsibilities and costs. However each plan is site-specific with the level of information and detail varying depending on the scale of the development, the habitats present on site, the aims and objectives of the applicant and any requirements of the Local Planning Authority.

We can assist in producing realistic, in-depth plans to manage the existing and new habitats and their associated vegetation structures and present these in a format to meet LEMP requirements.
