Wheat @ 47 tons per acre?

The agri-tech world has caught the attention of the mainstream media with a press release about a trial that suggests that wheat grown indoors can produce 117 tonnes per hectare and potentially much more than that. The story comes from a company called Infarm, whose mission is to provide a sustainable solution to feed a growing population in a way that is far more resilient and flexible in the face of climate uncertainty, food insecurity and supply chain disruption.
