Slurry infrastructure grant

Slurry infrastructure grant

Up to £250,000 of grant aid is available under the newly announced Defra slurry infrastructure grant. The application period opens on 6 December 2022 and closes on 31 January 2023. Applications will then be checked for eligibility and shortlisted. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to make a full application before a deadline of 11:59pm on Friday 28 June 2024.

The grant is based on standard payment rates for different categories of works with a minimum of £25,000 and a maximum of £250,000 per business. The detailed scheme rules and requirements can be found here. It will be administered by the RPA and only applies to England.

Amongst other evidence and information, full applications will need to include a copy of the planning permission approval for the project.

The scheme is open to owner occupiers and tenants. Tenants will need to confirm that they have a tenancy agreement in place for the duration of the grant funding agreement, which is 5 years after the date of final payment. Tenants may apply if their current tenancy agreement is shorter than 5 years if they expect it to continue.

We can provide advice and assistance to applicants, and would be pleased to work alongside their other advisers – for example to obtain whatever planning consents are required. The grant can not be used to meet professional fees.
