Levelling-up and Regeneration Act published

To square the circle on our previous update, the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023 has been published and for those who like a long read can be viewed here.  The commencement and transitional provisions are at Section 255 and confirm, inter alia, that Section 115 is amongst the provisions of Chapter 5 of Part 3 of the Act that come into force “on such day as the Secretary of State may by regulations appoint”. We currently have no information as to the likely timescale for the making of the regulations that will bring that Section into effect and, until that happens, the current 4-year and 10-year rules will continue to apply.
