Government response to Rock Review

Government response to Rock Review

In October 2022, we reported on the publication of the Rock Review. The Government’s response has been published today. That includes the announcement that the RICS will be leading the production of the Code of Practice that was called for by Baroness Rock. Our Mark Sanders, who has chaired the RICS Agricultural Tenancies Monitoring Group for many years and has also been the RICS representative on TRIG will be on the Code of Practice working group and looks forward to being actively involved in its production. TRIG produced and the RICS published a Code of Good Practice for projects, schemes or works requiring landlord’s consent in agricultural tenancies in June 2021. The new Code of Practice will have a wider remit and will be aimed at all parties and professionals involved in the agricultural tenanted sector.
