Watchdog bites itself

In an ironic twist that has made the national press, Natural England (NE) has indicated that it may have to object to its own planning application for the construction of a single storey office building and associated works on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. According to the consultation report, the application currently fails to provide key information without which a formal objection from NE is likely.
