Mark

Mark Sanders

Chartered Surveyor

Mark is the firm’s founder and managing partner. He specialises in dispute resolution and is an experienced valuer and expert witness. In addition to his RICS membership, he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Mark is the RICS representative on Defra’s Farm Tenancy Forum and regularly contributes to RICS and other publications.
Brian

Brian Dinnis

Chartered Surveyor

Brian is a Chartered Surveyor and an Associate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. He has a wealth of expertise in planning with a deep understanding of planning policy and law. When he’s not immersed in all things planning-related and serving as his children’s private chauffeur, Brian cherishes time outdoors in the countryside with his family.
Bella

Chartered Surveyor

Bella is from a farming background and grew up in East Devon. She completed her BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management at The Royal Agricultural University and joined us in 2019. She qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2022.  Following the birth of her first child, Alf, Bella works three days a week.  Outside the office, she is enjoying the countryside with Alf and Betty.

Sarah Potter

Accountant

Sarah is a qualified chartered certified accountant with some 14 years’ experience in the accountancy sector. Whilst growing up just over the Devon border in Wellington, Sarah has always enjoyed outdoor pursuits such as horse riding and walking and has a passion for the theatre. She joined Acorn Rural Property Consultants at the end of 2019.

Henry

Henry Buckpitt

Ecologist

Henry grew up on a farm near Newton Abbot and holds a BSc from the University of Reading. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) since 2021 and achieved his associate membership in 2023. Henry provides ecological input whenever required, often to support development proposals.

Molly

Molly Hunter

Trainee Surveyor

Molly grew up in Somerset and holds a BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management from the RAU. Molly joined us in May 2023 and is working towards her Assessment of Professional Competence to become a qualified member of the RICS. Outside the office, she is involved with Somerset Young Farmers and showing her pedigree Ryeland sheep.

Meg

Meg Walsh

Administrator

Meg grew up in Appledore, North Devon and has an Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. She moved to Tiverton and joined us as an administrator in June 2023. She has a keen interest in film and cinematography and her favourite film is ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’. She enjoys staying active through long walks and spending time in the gym.

Miniature Dachshund

Despite her (lack of) size Betty is head of barketing and security at Acorn Rural Property Consultants. This is an important role which she manages alongside her other career commitments which include feeding calves, particularly the bit where she drinks their milk, and long walks on Exmouth beach with Bella.
Maya

Maya

Springador

A recent recruit, Maya is seeking to establish a role for herself in ecological and environmental services. She has a strong interest in excavation and in sampling all types of biodiversity, with a specialisation in the natural fauna of Exmoor. She is therefore more likely to be found in the field than the office.
