Countryside Stewardship open for applications

Countryside Stewardship open for applications

A streamlined version of Countryside Stewardship has been launched to make it easier for farmers to apply for funding to support wildlife and the environment.

The scheme now includes an Arable Offer, Lowland Grazing Offer, Upland Offer and Mixed Farming Offer that provide a selected number of options for different farm types.  The new funding offers are non-competitive meaning that applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be offered an agreement.

The paperwork involved with applying for the new funding offers will also be easier and quicker to get through than the application process that is involved with applying to enter the Mid Tier and Higher Tier elements of the scheme, which continue to be on offer to applicants.

The deadline to request an application pack for the Arable Offer, Lowland Grazing Offer, Upland Offer and Mixed Farming Offer, or for Mid Tier funding is 31 May 2018.  Applications must be received by Natural England by 31 July 2018.

The deadline to request an application pack for Higher Tier funding is 9 March 2018. The deadline to submit an initial application for a Higher Tier agreement is 13 April 2018.

Please contact us on 01884 214052 if you are interested in finding out more or require assistance with an application.
